ABOUT STEFAN

My work is a vehicle to investigate the emotional landscape I find within myself. It is an exploration of both my conscious and subconscious, an interpretation of the emotions within me, and a way of visualizing them. Blending draftsmanship with abstraction, color palette and liquid mediums become a visual bridge between inside and out - a passageway fraught with self-reflection and raw intuition, while abstraction is a way to move through, interpret and explore the space.

Conceptualizing ideas relating to emotional identity and lived experiences, my paintings become an extension of myself. I am interested in communicating this in a way that captures a specific moment, and examining how we move through a spectrum of thought and thoughtlessness while we move within a piece of art.

Stefan lives and works in Lake Charles, Louisiana and draws inspiration from music, movies, memories, and an overactive imagination.
